Overview
Every candidate in Tenzo has an interview stage that describes where they are in the overall pipeline — from the moment they’re added to a job through to terminal statuses like Call Completed or Dispositioned. You’ll see the interview stage as a colored badge in the Candidates tab and as a filter option above the candidate table.Stage reference

| Outreach | Tenzo is actively reaching out to the candidate to schedule or conduct an interview. | Passed resume review, was added to a job without resume scoring, or a recruiter manually progressed them. |
| AI Interview Scheduled | The candidate booked a time for their video interview and is waiting for the scheduled slot. | Self-scheduled a video interview from an invite link. |
| Call Completed | The interview finished successfully and the results are available for review. | Completed an AI phone or video interview. |
| Resume Rejected | The candidate’s resume did not meet the configured requirements for this job. Recruiters can override this with Progress to Interview to send the candidate back to Outreach. | Failed automatic resume review at intake. |
| Not Interested | The candidate declined the role. | Told Tenzo they were not interested during outreach or after a completed interview. |
| Max Attempts - No Interview | All configured outbound phone outreach attempts were used without interview progress (for example voicemail, no answer, or no meaningful scored progress on screened calls). Tenzo stops dialing; the candidate may still self-schedule a video interview from a previously sent invite. | Phone retry budget was exhausted on this outcome. |
| Max Attempts - Not Completed | All configured outbound attempts were exhausted after the candidate partially completed an interview (some progress but not finished). Tenzo stops further automated outreach subject to normal invite rules; the candidate may still self-schedule where invites allow. | Phone retry budget was exhausted after incomplete interview progress on a screened attempt. |
| All Invites Sent | All web/video interview invites have been sent and no further invites will go out. | Reached the maximum number of invites for an invite-based interview flow. |
| Failed Knockout | The candidate failed a required knockout question during the interview. | Answered a required knockout question in a way that disqualifies them. |
| Invalid Contact | The candidate’s phone number or email is invalid or unreachable. | Outreach failed because the contact information could not be used. |
| Re-review | The candidate asked Tenzo to re-review their application after a rejection or completed interview. | Requested a re-review after Resume Rejected or Call Completed. |
| Opted Out | The candidate opted out of the AI interview and requested a manual review. A recruiter should reach out. | Declined to interview with AI during outreach, or never gave AI communications consent. |
| Accommodation | The candidate requested special accommodations for their interview. A recruiter should reach out. | Asked for accommodations during outreach. |
| Cooling Down | The candidate recently received outreach for another job. Tenzo will resume outreach automatically once the cooldown period ends. | Added to a job while still inside a cooldown window from another job. |
| Cooldown Expired | The candidate’s cooldown window ended before Tenzo could reach them, so outreach was stopped to avoid a stale first contact. | Stayed in Cooling Down past the maximum wait. |
| Canceled | A recruiter cancelled the candidate from this job. | Cancelled manually from the Tenzo app. |
| Do Not Contact | The candidate asked Tenzo never to contact them. Outreach is blocked for this candidate across jobs. | Requested no further contact, or was flagged as do-not-contact in the system. |
| Fraud rejected | The application was closed automatically based on fraud risk signals. | Flagged as high fraud risk by automated checks. |
| Dispositioned | The candidate was dispositioned in the connected ATS. | Moved to a final disposition in the ATS, either directly or as a result of a stage in Tenzo syncing over. |
| Awaiting Review | Transient state where the candidate is queued for automatic resume review before any outreach begins. | Added to a job that has resume scoring configured. |
