Configure reuse
Set organization defaults in Admin > Interview Settings, or override them in Job > Configure > Settings when your organization permits it.- Reuse Recent Interview Answers: enabled by default. Turning it off disables both whole-interview reuse and skipping questions based on earlier interviews.
- Use interviews from the past: 30 days by default; choose 1–365 days. The same window applies to both behaviors.
Whole-interview reuse
The questions must match in wording, order, follow-ups, answer type, and candidate targeting. Each job evaluates the answers using its own grading and knockout rules. Jobs with active Screening Flow blocks are not eligible for whole-interview reuse. Whole-interview reuse does not bypass resume review when resume disqualification is enabled. An interview that stopped early is reused only when this job can still decide from the answers it has. An applicable knockout answer is applied; otherwise, at most one question may remain unanswered. Reuse applies to applications synced into Tenzo at your configured start stage. Matching applications follow their normal post-interview stage moves and ATS updates without additional interview outreach.Reusing individual answers
When whole-interview reuse is unavailable, the interviewer checks whether anything has changed before reusing earlier answers. Questions needing updated answers and questions specific to the current job are asked as usual. An incomplete change review does not authorize using prior answers to grade the interview. Questions can match in intention even when their wording differs. If a difference could change the answer, the interviewer asks again. Broad questions about experience are asked again because their answers can depend on the job. An Auto Generated question can also be skipped when earlier answers show it does not apply. A request to call back later, an unrelated reply, or an interrupted change review does not confirm that earlier answers still apply. Questions requiring updated answers remain to be answered. Results and candidate communication
A reused result carries a Reused from a prior interview line, so anyone reading it can tell the candidate was not called again for that job. The line appears on the results email, the ATS note, and the interview PDF summary (where it shows as Interview Source). It is always included and is not one of the fields you can turn off in your Interview Results Templates. Interview Date on a reused result is when the original interview took place, not when the result was applied to this application. It appears wherever your results template includes the Interview Date field. If you post stage transition comments to your ATS, the comment for a reused result has the original interview’s date appended to your configured text, for exampleAI Screen Complete (Re-Used Interview from March 4, 2026).
Reused results are snapshots: later edits to the original interview result are not propagated to the other applications. Grading is re-evaluated per application, so two applications built from the same reused interview can show different scores or a different knockout outcome if their jobs grade the shared questions differently.
Candidates do not receive duplicate thank-you emails or feedback messages for applications that received a reused result.
When an individual question uses an earlier answer, its grades point to that earlier interview. An Auto Generated question skipped because it does not apply has no answer from that interview.
